Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated:
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone using services provided by [OPERATOR NAME, ADDRESS, ID]. It protects recipients, email providers and every Frontmail customer’s deliverability.
1. Permitted use
Frontmail is built for messages people expect: contact form submissions, auto-replies, order and booking confirmations, notifications and other transactional or requested email.
2. Prohibited use
You must not use Frontmail to send or facilitate:
- unsolicited bulk or commercial email (spam), including to purchased, rented or scraped lists;
- phishing, malware, or content impersonating another person or organisation;
- illegal content, content that infringes intellectual property, or content that exploits minors;
- harassment, threats or hate speech;
- messages that hide the sender’s identity or forge headers.
You also must not:
- probe, overload or circumvent rate limits, CAPTCHA, domain allowlists or other protections;
- use the Service to resell sending capacity without our written consent;
- expose private API keys in client-side code or share keys between unrelated organisations.
3. Your responsibilities
- Obtain any consent required by law (e.g. GDPR, ePrivacy, CAN-SPAM) before sending.
- Honour unsubscribe requests and keep bounce and complaint rates low.
- Keep domain allowlists and CAPTCHA enabled for public forms.
4. Enforcement
We monitor for abuse, including sudden volume spikes and complaint rates. We may throttle, suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, usually after notice unless immediate action is needed to prevent harm.
5. Reporting abuse
Report abuse to abuse@frontmail.dev and include the full message headers.
